How the rating works
- Everyone starts at 1,000.
- Any finished Outlier Live game with two or more players counts, except the 9 PM Live Daily, which keeps its own table. To count, you play from the first round, lock at least one word and are still there at the end.
- You're measured against each other player in the room. Outscore someone and you gain; finish below them and you drop. Beating a higher-rated player is worth more.
- One game moves you by at most 40 points during your first 10 games, and at most 20 after that. Until then you're marked provisional.
- The top score on your own is a win, a shared top score is a draw, and anything below the top is a loss.
- The board lists everyone who played a rated game in the month. Your rating carries over from one month to the next.
- Best win is the highest rating you've outscored in a single game.
