The rare daily word game sweeping the globe. Find what's hidden in plain sight.
The Almanac
A premium feature for Keepers
Two printable almanacs of everything you've played
- Always up to date. Each download draws the whole almanac again from your play so far: new bests, new titles, new days. Download again next week and the copy has moved on.
- Yours alone. Only you can download your almanacs, and nobody can open another player's.
- Numbered for good. Each almanac carries a permanent number, the same on every copy; the issue date is the day you downloaded it.
- Finished days only. A word board joins your almanac once the next one drops, so the board that's live right now never appears.
- No questions or answers. The Trivia Almanac prints scores, counts and times, never a question, so every game stays fresh for everyone.
The daily word board and Today's Ten are always free for everyone.

Word game
The Outlier Almanac
Your whole word game history, sealed and numbered like a certificate. Download it from your own profile.
About twenty Letter-size pages for a long-time player. A newer player's is shorter, because some sections wait until there's enough play behind them.
Where you stand
The certificate
The best rank title you've earned and your player title, with your words found, Pioneer finds, days played, best score, longest streak and Most Consistent place. Your rarest find gets a panel of its own.
Contents
Every page in your almanac, grouped as it's printed. Tap a line in the PDF to jump to it; the same list shows as bookmarks in your PDF reader.
Rank and record
How many days you finished at each rank title, how close you are to the next player title, your personal bests (best score, average, best finish) and every find you've made, counted by tier.
The rarest finds
Your 20 rarest words, rarest first, with the tier and points each one paid and the day you found it. PIONEER marks a word nobody found before you; ONLY YOU marks one nobody else found that day.
Word DNA, in depth
The overview
Your word type and your eight axes (Latin roots, Greek roots, compound words, words almost nobody else finds and the rest), each with your percentile, plus your vocabulary growing board by board.
Your word type
What your type means and how it plays, why it's yours (your share beside the median player and the median holder of the type) and the words that put you there.
How the type is decided
All eight types measured on your own words, the runner-up you nearly were, how close it was, and the words pulling you toward it.
All eight types
The whole set, how many players hold each type, and where each one lands for you.
Your axis profile
Every axis beside the median player and the median of your type, and how your type has moved month by month.
Letters and length
Your letter fingerprint against every player, the letters you lean on and avoid, favourite first letters and letter pairs, word lengths and your longest words.
Rarity over time
Each month's mix of tiers, your Rare-or-better finds per board, your rarest word that month, where in a board your best words come, and your first boards against your latest.
Signature words
How many players have ever found each of your words, how many only you have found, and your fewest-finder words.
Firsts and favourites
Your Pioneer finds month by month, the words you found first that the field then followed, and the words you keep coming back to.
How you play
A calendar of every day shaded by how you finished, the hour you usually start, how each day of the week goes, and your pace: a typical board, the gap between finds, your fastest full board.
Boards and guesses
How you do on each board type, what happened to the guesses that didn't score, and the real words that got away.
Your days
Every finished day
Newest first, with the date, score, rank title, your place and how many words you found. A very long almanac lists the most recent days.
Trivia
The Trivia Almanac
Your title, rating and topics across Quick Ten and Today's Ten, with the in-depth pages comparing you with every rated player, nobody named. Download it from your Trivia profile.
About twenty-five Letter-size pages for a regular player. In-depth pages appear once there's enough play to fill them, and Games grows a page at a time.
Where you stand
The certificate
Your title and rating points, your place on the Ratings board, and how many of your answers have been compared. Four boxes sum up the rest: Quick Ten games and average, Today's Ten days and best, your single best game, and the topic titles you hold.
Contents
Every page in your almanac, grouped as it's printed, each line a link to its page, and the same list as PDF bookmarks.
Rating and record
Where your rating stands, a bar toward the next title and what it still needs, the whole title ladder marked with the rungs you've earned, and your Quick Ten and Today's Ten numbers side by side.
Topic titles
Every topic title you hold, best first, with how many questions you got right out of how many you were asked, then the topics still building toward a first rating.
Trivia, in depth
Rating over time
Your rating game by game, with every title you've crossed and the day you crossed it.
Accuracy
Right answers at each of the five difficulties beside the whole field, plus the topics where you beat the field most and the ones with the most room to grow.
Topic map
Every topic against every difficulty in one grid, shaded by how often you got it right.
Speed
How quickly your answers come in compared with everybody's, and your typical right-answer time at each difficulty.
Topic ladders
For each topic, the title you hold and exactly what the next rung needs, in points and answers.
Head to head
How many finishers you've beaten and how many beat you across every board you've finished, where your Quick Ten scores fall, and a strip of every Today's Ten day with your place on it. Nobody else is named.
When you play
Your busiest hours and weekdays, in your profile's time zone, and how many games you usually play in a sitting.
Topics, subcategory by subcategory
At a glance
How many of the 171 subcategories you've met, your strongest and weakest by share right, where you beat the field by most and where you've the most room to grow. A subcategory counts once you've answered 5 questions in it.
Coverage map
One square for every subcategory in all 20 topics, shaded by how often you got it right, with the ones you haven't met yet listed underneath.
Eras
From ancient to the 2010s and after: your share right and typical right-answer time in each era, beside every rated player's.
Topic by topic
Every topic you've played, subcategory by subcategory: right answers, share right, right-answer time and points per answer, each beside the field's, your standing, and a one-line read of what the numbers say. Wherever you're in the top tenth, a TOP 1% to TOP 10% label marks it.
Your games
Games
Your ten best numbered Quick Ten games and every Today's Ten day, each with its score, how many you got right, your place on that board and the date.
