A highly toxic G-series nerve agent in the organophosphate class of chemical warfare agents. It works by irreversibly inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme needed to regulate nerve signals, which leads to uncontrolled muscle activity and disruption of vital nervous system functions.
