Support OUTLIER
357 players have chipped in so far ♥ Join them on the Keepers board, or stay private if you would rather not be named.
If OUTLIER is part of your day, this is what keeps it that way. No ads, no investors: the players who enjoy the game are the ones who pay for it. Chip in what feels right, once or yearly, and you join the Keepers.
288 Keepers keep OUTLIER running.See the sponsors boardWhat it pays for
- Keep it running. Servers, the database, the daily email and the domain. Every new player adds to the bill.
- Make the game better. Developers building new modes, sharper scoring, cleaner design and a hand-checked word list.
- Look after players. Moderation, quicker answers on bugs and feedback, and reaching players in more places.
Keepers pay for all three. Any amount helps.
Patron or supporter
The steady way to keep it going. Renews once a year until you cancel. No minimum term.
One gift, whenever you feel like it. Nothing renews, nothing to cancel.
Keepers
Everyone who chips in is a Keeper. It's not a tier and there's nothing above it. It's what we call the people whose money keeps OUTLIER online.
- Keeper
- Any amount, once or yearly, named on the board or not.
- Founding Keeper
- Gave in the first year. It marks when you turned up, not how much you gave, and it stays with you for good. Founding closes in August 2027.

Trivia AlmanacFree players: not included
Free for everyone, always: the daily word board, Today's Ten and Outlier Live Daily, plus your first 100 Quick Ten games and 100 Live rooms. See all perks →
What you get is the badge, the board and the game staying free. A Keeper badge on your profile, your name on the sponsors board if you want it, and no ads for anybody. What it deliberately does not buy is an edge: no hints, no extra guesses, no effect on your score or rank. OUTLIER is scored on rarity, and that has to mean the same thing for everyone.
Premium features are included: unlimited Quick Ten, unlimited Live rooms and your two Almanacs. The game itself is free and always will be. Unlimited play stays on for every Keeper. The Almanacs run 365 days from the day you give, and every gift adds another year on top of whatever time is left. A PATRON keeps them for as long as the annual amount renews. A SUPPORTER keeps them for a year from each gift.
Premium can never be something you compete on. The daily board, Today's Ten, Outlier Live Daily, your ten guesses, every score, rarity, rank, streak and leaderboard, your own results and history, Orbit and the daily email stay free for everybody forever, Keeper or not. Rarity has to mean the same thing for every player or the game is pointless. Premium is for depth beside the game: deeper word analysis, bigger tools, more history. It is never for the game itself.
And the support messages stop. Once you are a Keeper, OUTLIER stops asking you — on the board, on your results, in the menu and in the daily email. It is last on this list because it is the least of it: the game costs the same to run either way, and the reason to chip in is the three things above, not the quiet.
Stripe takes the payment. You enter your card on Stripe’s own checkout page, so OUTLIER never sees it. A receipt is emailed every time.
Read the whole funding position on the independence page. The FAQ answers the rest: what a Keeper is, Founding Keepers, patron or supporter, money and scoring, premium features, what's free and what Keepers get, cancelling and where the money goes.
Thank you for playing,
