What it measures

Words carrying a prefix or a suffix.

Every player with at least twenty traced words is scored on eight axes, and the one they sit furthest above the median on becomes their type. It is a comparison against everybody else, not a score — nobody is winning at being Suffix Hunter, and the type can change as you play.

Worth knowing

• 1 in 82 players with a Word DNA report is a Suffix Hunter, out of 8,887 who have one.
• The typical holder runs 1.39× the typical player on this measure — 62.9% against 45.4%.
• The top tenth of the type are above 74.6%, and the highest anybody has reached is 85.1%.
• They average 213 found words, 124 of which we can trace back to a named ancestor.
• 93 of them are listed below. 15 have a private profile, so they do not appear.
