What it measures

Words of ten letters or more.

Every player with at least twenty traced words is scored on eight axes, and the one they sit furthest above the median on becomes their type. It is a comparison against everybody else, not a score — nobody is winning at being Long-Hauler, and the type can change as you play.

Worth knowing

• 1 in 4 players with a Word DNA report is a Long-Hauler, out of 8,887 who have one.
• The typical holder runs 2.3× the typical player on this measure — 23.5% against 10.2%.
• The top tenth of the type are above 41.4%, and the highest anybody has reached is 99.4%.
• They average 189 found words, 113 of which we can trace back to a named ancestor.
• 1,762 of them are listed below. 241 have a private profile, so they do not appear.
