What it measures

Words four people or fewer have ever found.

Every player with at least twenty traced words is scored on eight axes, and the one they sit furthest above the median on becomes their type. It is a comparison against everybody else, not a score — nobody is winning at being Deep Diver, and the type can change as you play.

Worth knowing

• 1 in 4 players with a Word DNA report is a Deep Diver, out of 8,887 who have one.
• The typical holder runs 2.82× the typical player on this measure — 9.6% against 3.4%.
• The top tenth of the type are above 21.4%, and the highest anybody has reached is 62.3%.
• They average 229 found words, 128 of which we can trace back to a named ancestor.
• 2,031 of them are listed below. 263 have a private profile, so they do not appear.
